I have also gotten this with the free version and cannot install. The message is as follows:

I host with hostgator and have not had issues installing scripts in the past.

I sent in a help desk ticket last night and no response as of yet. I have to make a decision on a directory script pretty quickly. So to the Admins, please help asap. Otherwise you risk losing a potential customer.

It seems something wrong with .htaccess. Are you trying to install in a subdirectory? If so - do you have any top level .htaccess files?

Hey Guys,

Hostgator has implemented mod_security rules. I guess this is a security issue that they've put together. I contacted them through their help desk and they had it fixed in about ten minutes.

Give that a try. Worked like a charm for me.
