Use Unique template - This refers to an option in the category setup section. But as the person above asked, HOW DO YOU actually SET UP A SEPARATE TEMPLATE FOR A CATEGORY?

Oops, I"m sorry for the confusion with Alex's reply.

Anyway, here is the explanation.

In some cases you need to make your own template layout for each category. Let's say you have Sports category and want to add more sport related bells and whistles to the category page content. You only need to enable Unique template and make a copy of your index.tpl file (the system prompts to create own indexCAT_ID.tpl) and you can modify it as you wish. This template file will be used for sports category template.

Lets say if i want to change the layout of category for e.g if i make yellowpages categroy then can we completely change the look of that template? I mean header, footer, background colour?

Yes, you can do that. That category will use the new layout file, you can use any css file there.
