Should we use the new canonical url tag in the catalogues? I think its a easy way to protect the site for "double content" using from submitters ... ???

I moved this thread in SEO optimization forums as it seems to be more appropriate forums for this discussion.

Here is the good link to Canonical URL tag explanation. To be honest I never took this information seriously anyway, now it seems to be very useful.

I don't think you should put this tag for categories. Categories should have their own content and it should be different. I would put this tag for suggest listing,suggest category pages, etc.

I'm seriously considering to use canonical tag for suggest-link.php.

Can be usefull in some important serps for a link directory, IMHO.

I think it's a simple edit, so i think i'm gonna try.

Not yet online, i can't show the site.
