Default Lost Google PR in latest update affecting traffic?

Hi

My website is http://www.txforyou.com

I lost my current google PR from 3 to 0 in latest May 29 google PR update.

Since last 3 days I lost almost all google traffic which I was rcving.

I noticed from google webmaster tools that for keywords my site position was 3 or 4 on first page is now nowhere on google.

Is lower page rank affect keyword position of my site on google search pages?

Can anybody suggest me the reason of such? Is this google punishment? If so what could be reason?

Help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance...

Google PR does not affect traffic it is just a no. of trust and authority and not really original Google PR. So check your search engine position and go for off-page optimization (backlink)

Hi,

I am also a junior member, though i have not through knowledge, but what i heard from many that, PR is nothing to do with the traffic. So there must be some other problem.

PR comes from backlinks, if you lost PR like you report then you were probably getting the 3 rank from a high PR site that is no longer linking to you.

As for traffic Google constantly updates its algorithms PR does have a part in this but mainly because PR is due to sites linking to yours - the more people pointing at you the more you stand out to the search engines as on topic (alt tags & anchor text)

You may find the rankings will come back just as fast as they dropped

Smile == Increasing PR ==

Missing PR and 0 ranking on Google you may be blocked by google.

Backlinks are in essence votes. Very little is weighted to a PR0 or PR1 website linking to you but a link from a PR4 or PR5 (or many of them) can greatly increase your own PR rank.

I believe the next Google PR update is due within the next 1-3 weeks so get on the backlink wagon sooner than later and check to make sure you are not blacklisted by google.

Cheers,

Jack Black

If it it doesn't have to do with you page traffic, then why bother with SEO and pagerank? I thought it was the whole purpose behind Googles pagerank...getting higher in the search results for your sites keywords.

Hi,

You should use unique keyword for you site's SEO and Link Building and try to find means to drive traffic to your site then you should be able to get your page rank back.

using unique keywords or driving traffic to your site does not affect your Page Rank. Page rank is only affected by the amount and quality of back links you have for your site.
