Hi,
since installing this script script I havent ben able to add any listings to it, I created some categories but on some pages it says there are no categoreis, when I try to add a listing nothing happings when I submit it, not sure why. But I guess I'll figure that out sooner or later. My question here is: can I embed a vertical menu from the directory on an outside page lke my websites homepage, if yes then how do I do that? |

Thanks for your response.
the site is at http://www.servicebelize.com Ignore the site that you see there, I'm still playing around with what program to use to create that site with. The intended site is to be something like http://www.alibaba.com, plus I want to create the features to offer to my members, a free web site, free hosting and free pop3 emails. |

This forum is incredibly slow. I asked a simple yes or no question.

Hi,
Actually the easiest way to do this is simply to hardcode an html code like this: Code:
<ul> <li><a href="index.php">Home</a></li> <li><a href="search.php">Search</a></li> <li><a href="new-listings.html">New Listings</a></li> <li><a href="top-listings.html">Top Listings</a></li> <li><a href="popular-listings.html">Popular Listings</a></li> <li><a href="random-listings.html">Random Listings</a></li> <li><a href="suggest-listing.php?id=0" rel="nofollow">Suggest Listing</a></li> <li><a href="suggest-category.php?id=0" rel="nofollow">Suggest Category</a></li> </ul>

Thank you very much for the response, however that's not quite what I meant. in your example code, you showed how to create a menu that links to the different directory pages.
But what I'm hoping to get is: how to show the actual listings on the outside page, forget about importing the menu to another script, that's not it. Instead how to show the actual categories as the menu, as oppose to a link to go to the categories page. Or, how to show the actual sites from a chosen category as the menu, as opposed to just a link to the listinings page. Is this possible? |

yes, with the plugin top categories, it will let you show the categories on every page if you wish.
