ZIP Codes data needed

Greetings all,
We have implemented search by distance in our script. But it works for US only Is there anyone here in the forums from other country who can provide us with zip codes database of their country? There should be longitude and latitude
values for each zipcode.

This one has UK postcodes (and is from 2005, but can't see it being overly outta date).

The format:-

AB10 is only the first half of the postcode and refers to the town or area.
(The full postcode looks like: AB10 1RF <-- the 1RF refers to the street/road but is not available in the file below. Unfortunately you'll never get a definitive full list because it's licenced by UK Royal Mail and costs a minimum of £1200/$2400 for a single computer licence)

Here you can find sql databases with data for germany belgium, austria, switzerland and liechtenstein:

- this file should do it: opengeodb-0.2.4d-UTF8-mysql-0.1.3-layout.zip
inside you will find the sql data for each country.

The most important part is the end of the data insert tag - for example one here one part of the
DE.sql (german towns):
Karlskron',NULL,NULL,NULL,48.6833,11.4167,'ND','85 123');
town,NULL,NULL,NULL,latitude, longitude,carsign,postalcode

Should be width and length I guess but how?

Greg, we have a plugin search by distance and it works for US only. So you can find any listings/houses/cars within x miles from a given ZIPcode
