Paid plans explained.

Many of our customers ask questions concerning paid plans (featured, partner, sponsored).

This article should throw light on the paid plan creation process and also give you a clear vision of the paid plan notion.

First of all, an administrator of eSyndiCat Directory is able to create the paid plan either for user listings or for user accounts.

 

Creation of the paid plan for the listings, submitted by users

To create paid listings plan you should be logged into your eSyndiCat admin panel.

 1) In the left-hand menu under the "Common" section find the "Manage Plans" link and click on it, you will see the existing plans (if there are any).

 2) In the upper-right corner click on the "Create" button, you will be redirected to the "Add Plan" page.

 3) Choose the options you need. Below I will try to explain the options of the paid listings plan in details.

     Plan Type: type of the plan you create. To create the paid plan for the listings choose "listing" option.

     Show On Pages: as it comes from the title, here you pick on what pages the plan offer will be visible.

     Fields For Plan: choose the fields, user/administrator of the website should fill out during the submitting process.

     Title: set the title (will be seen in plan caption).

     Description: write a description of the plan, so the users will have a clue of your plan.

     Cost: the plan's fee.

     Deep Links: the number of the secondary links that can be submitted along with the main link submittion.

     Multicross: the maximum number of the categories the link will be submitted to at the same time.

     Days: the number of days the listing will belong to the paid plan.

     Send email in [...] day(s) before expiration: as it comes from itself, the number of days an email will be sent to the listing's owner before the expiration of the paid plan.

     Mark listing after submit as: we have 4 options here. Commonly, for the paid plan creation you may use "Sponsored", "Featured" and "Partner" choices.

     The listings will be displayed in the appropriate sections of the Front End of eSyndiCat. Note: Use "Regular" choice for the Free Listing Plan creation.

     Action when listing is expired: changes the type or status of the listing once it's expired.

     Category: chose the categories set, the paid plan will be accessible from.

     Note: if you have PayPal plugin installed, then you will be able to see "PayPal Options" section at the bottom of the page. Let's see what these options mean:

      Recurring: check this button if you want to create the subscription on regular basis every time a user subscribes to this pllan.

      Units of duration: choose whether you want to use days, months, years, etc. as the measuring units for the subscription period.

      Duration: the number of days, months, etc. for the subscription period.

 4) Once you have chosen all the options for your plan, click on the "Add" button at the end of the option list. The new plan will be created and activated.

 

Creation of the paid plan for the user accounts

To create paid user accounts plan you should be logged into your eSyndiCat admin panel.

 1) In the left-hand menu under the "Common" section find the "Manage Plans" link and click on it, you will see the existing plans (if there are any).

 2) In the upper-right corner click on the "Create" button, you will be redirected to the "Add Plan" page.

 3) Choose the options you need. Below I will try to explain the options of the paid user accounts plan in details.

     Plan Type: type of the plan you create. To create the paid plan for the user accounts choose "account" option.

     Show On Pages: as it comes from the title, here you pick on what pages the plan offer will be visible.

     Title: set the title (will be seen in plan caption).

     Description: write a description of the plan, so the users will have a clue of your plan.

     Cost: the plan's fee.

     Note: if you have PayPal plugin installed, then you will be able to see "PayPal Options" section at the bottom of the page. Let's see what these options mean:

P.S. There are the cases when you still want to give an oportunity to your users to submit free listings along with the paid ones. Or give a chance to create free user accounts along with the paid ones.

       In these cases all you should do is to create a free plan (set "Cost" = 0) for user accounts or listings (or for both accounts and listings).
